We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper and Payroll Officer to join this supportive and upbeat team . This role focuses on overseeing accounts payable and receivable, as well as managing payroll across five early childhood services, with clear processes and realistic expectations in place. Skills and Responsibilities Strong attention to detail and a methodical, reliable approach Solid experience with Xero and Microsoft Office Confidence working independently while being a supportive team contributor A calm, solutions‑focused mindset suited to a busy but well‑organised environment Experience in processing end to end payroll for more than 65 - 80 employees per week Understanding how to organise and file paperwork Basic knowledge of how to electronically archive, scan and send faxes Sound experience in processing a high volume of accounts payable Support with general assistance with external staff at the childcare centres Set up new employees on Employment Hero software The primary use of the audit system (Employment Hero, Tanda and Xero preferred) Confident and professional in answering emails and phone calls Check and verify sourced documents such as invoices, receipts, reconcile bills to statements Experience with reviewing and processing payroll (preferably Xero or MYOB experience). TO QUALIFY A Team Player with a proactive problem solving approach Highly experienced 10 year's experience across payroll and bookkeeping functions MUST have strong experience with end to end payroll experience of no less than 60 employees or more Sound understanding and experienced in end to end payroll (necessary) Strong experience in Accounts Payable and Receivables Be well organise and know how to prioritise Experience in Zero software or similar Take the initiative and be proactive A proactive approach to learning High attention to detail is Crucial Great phone communication skills Professional written and verbal ability Must be able to work FULL TIME Full working rights (No working restrictions) If this sounds like the job for you, APPLY NOW!
